Sunday, October 9th is the first ever $1,500 Guarantee College Texas Hold’em Tournament. The tournament will be hosted by Mardi Gras Casino’s Big Easy Poker Room in Hollywood Florida. It is FREE to enter an open only to college students.
Need a little more schooling before you enter the tournament? Poker U is now in session and you have a full course load.
Accounting - Always know how many chips your opponents have left. If a player commits a large portion of their chips, they will typically have a good hand.
Statistics - Standardize your raises. Raising the same amount every time will make it difficult for anyone to know the strength of your hand.
Communications - Master the art of bluffing. You should never try to bluff more than two players. Make sure your bluff is believable and don’t over use it.
Behavioral Science - Learn to read players. Get an idea of how your opponents play and use this information to your advantage.
