Mardi Gras Casino's Hollywood Race Track : Premier Greyhound Racing Venue in Florida
Anyone can play and better yet anyone can win at Mardi Gras Casino. This year we have made some changes to our live racing wagering format. All Win/Place/Show Wagers are set at a $5.00 minimum. We will offer Twin-Tri wagering on our 1st matinee card only races 3 & 5. The Twin-Tri will be forced out every Sunday night. Pick-4 wagering is now available on both cards, races 5-8. The Pick-4 will be forced out every Monday night.
If you're new to our Hollywood Race Track here's a quick guide on how to wager to help you out.
Win
The FIRST dog to cross the finish line. If you bet to win, you collect a payoff only if your selection finishes first. This wager is available in all races.
Place
The SECOND dog to cross the finish line. If you bet to place, you collect a payoff if your selection finishes first or second. This wager is available in all races.
Show
The THIRD dog to cross the finish line. If you bet to show, you collect a payoff if your selection finishes first, second or third. This wager is available in all races.
Trifecta
The first three dogs to cross the finish line produce the trifecta. In a trifecta bet, you select three dogs. You win if your selections finish first, second and third in the exact order you picked. This wager is available in all races except the third, seventh and tenth.
Quiniela (pronounced "quin-ella")
The first two dogs to cross the finish line produce the quiniela. In a quiniela bet, you select two dogs. You win if your selections finish first or second, and in any order. This wager is available in all races.
Exacta
In an exacta bet, you select the first two dogs. You win if your selections finish first and second in the exact order you picked. This wager is available in all races.
Pick 4
Pick 4 wagering is now available on both cards, races 5-8. To win a Pick 4 you must select the winning dogs in four consecutive races. If no one selects four winners, any "two winners" of four races will share in the entire net pool. If no one selects two winners, people holding tickets with one winner will share in the entire net pool. There is no jackpot carryover.
Superfecta
The first four dogs to cross the finish line produce the superfecta. In a superfecta bet, you select four dogs. You win if your selections finish first, second, third and fourth in the exact order you picked. This wager is available in races 5, 8, 11 and 13. Superfectas will be held in all races on Sunday nights!
Boxing
This means you select any number of dogs (3 or more) in a "box". In a trifecta box, if your selections finish first, second and third in any order, you win. In a quiniela box, if any 2 selections finish first and second in any order, your win.
Wheeling
This is picking a key dog, which you choose to finish first (or second or third) with any other possible combination of dogs. A $1 trifecta "wheel" in an 8-dog race costs $42, with 42 different combinations to produce a winning payoff — all with just one ticket. For example if you wheel #8 to win, and it wins, you are winner regardless of which dogs finish 2nd or 3rd.
