Our History
Mardi Gras Casino was born in 1934 as an established Florida gaming institution called The Hollywood Kennel Club. The club's popularity grew through the years evolving to become one of the major casino gambling attractions in South Florida today. In 1996 the law changed allowing pari-mutuels to add a poker room to their facilities. In 2006 history was made when, an extensive renovation project added 1,100 slot machines to this landmark property. Two years later, an additional 200 slot machines were installed on the third level balcony. In November of 2009, the Big Easy Poker Room was relocated to the north end of the third floor and expanded.
