Mardi Gras Casino is celebrating Fat Tuesday, New Orleans style! On February 21st, there are so many fun things happening here it is hard to keep track. The Doubloons for Dollars promotion is every two hours from 1pm-9pm where the prize could be up to $3,000. The whole community is joining us for a parade and festival. The parade will be led by the King and Queen of Mardi who will be crowned at 5:30pm next to the Player’s Club. You could be the King or Queen of Mardi Gras if you check-in to Mardi Gras on Facebookwhile you’re visiting. On Mardi Gras day, for every 20 slot points you earn, you’ll receive one King & Queen entry.
Mardi Gras Casino Parade is The Thing to Do In Ft. Lauderdale This Year
The Mardi Gras parade begins on the Veranda at 6:00pm with the Bad Apple Brass Band. The first 250 parade participants will receive a handkerchief so they can join in on our second line. They will also receive a bonus play coupon for $5.00 and a bead, which could contain a prize for $500.00. The parade will end trackside at our Historic Dog Track where the festival is set to take place. McNicol Middle School, McArthur High School and the Hip Hop Kidz will perform at 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm respectively. In between shows, be sure to savor some of our delicious Creole and Cajun food from the French Quarter Restaurant. Grab some beads from our Mardi Gras float or hang out with the fire breathers or showgirls. Then, hurry back inside to participate in the Big Easy Hurricane Hot Seat, which takes place every 30 minutes from 5:00pm – 11:00pm. Come and celebrate Fat Tuesday with Mardi Gras, where it’s always a party!
