Do you like to laugh at people? Do people laugh at you? Do you want them to? If you answered yes to any of these questions then you’re going to want to hang out in The Dawg House Sports Bar this summer, the host and home for the Mardi Gras Casino Comedy Challenge 2011! That’s right, we’re throwing the funny bone to the Dawgs!
Biggest Stand Up Comedy Prize South Florida Has Ever Seen
Open auditions take the stage Friday and Saturday, August 12th and 13th from 10 am to 2 pm so if you think you’re funny, bring your best 3 minutes of killer material and you could joke around enough to win $5000! Of course you’ll want to bring your friends along to enjoy the show, you’re going to need them to cheer you on if you hope to advance to the next round! Besides, who else is going to help you finish that bucket of bottled beers or those plates of Bullpen Buffalo Wings and Bases Loaded Chicken Nachos? Of course, you don’t have to be a comic to enjoy the show, spectators are always welcomed as well! Come have some laughs, some lunch and some libations! Our drinks specials are as easy as 1-2-3! We have $1 domestic 12 oz draft beers, $2 house 7 oz wines, and $3 well drinks and premium bottles! That’s all over the entire casino, too so make sure you head down to the gaming floor for Blackjack, Poker or Slot machine fun after the auditions! We’ve got 2 bars down there for you too, Louie’s Lounge in the Big Easy Poker Room, and the Bayou Bar right next door to the Café Orleans on the Slot floor. Check out the French Quarter on the third floor when that rumble in your tummy says it’s time for dinner.
The French Quarter is also great place to have a party, hold a luncheon, a meeting, a reception, a reunion, a conference, a bar or bat mitzvah, an awards ceremony, or whatever!
